Sound Sultan (Olarenwaju Fasasi)
Nigerian multitalented veteran singer, rapper and songwriter, Olarenwaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, is dead.
He died on Sunday, July 11, 2021. He would have been 45 years old on November 27, this year.
He died from Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma, according to a statement signed by Dr Kayode Fasasi on behalf of the Fasasi family.
He is survived by a wife , three children and siblings.
Sound Sultan’s career in show business started in the 1990s when he hosted shows to raise money for studio sessions.
By 1999, he had won numerous local talent-hunt shows.
He released his first single, “Jagbajantis”, in 2000, which was a hit in Nigeria.
After independently releasing other singles and featuring in hit songs of other artists, he was signed by Kennis Music.
